Accreditation Commission for Integrative Sciences (ACIS)
"Accrediting Excellence in Integrative, Holistic, and Trichological Sciences"
Our Story
The Accreditation Commission for Integrative Sciences (ACIS) was established to answer a critical need in the field of Trichology and Holistic Medicine: standards, recognition, and credibility. While practitioners and institutions worldwide were advancing education and practice, there was no unifying body ensuring quality, competency, and integrity across programs.
ACIS changed that.
Today, ACIS is the recognized global authority in Trichology and Integrative Sciences, setting rigorous standards that elevate professional practice and institutional excellence. Through our board arm, the International Board of Trichology & Holistic Medicine (IBTHM), we grant respected board certifications such as Board-Certified Trichologist (BCT), Master Trichologist (MT), and Doctor of Trichology Science (DTS).
Our role is more than accreditation — it is about protecting the integrity of the profession, empowering practitioners with recognition that matters, and giving the public confidence in the services they receive.
With transparent processes, impartial governance, and a commitment to advancing the science of holistic health, ACIS ensures that those who carry our seal are among the most trusted and qualified professionals in the world.
Mission
To safeguard the credibility, quality, and ethics of Trichology, Herbal Medicine, and Integrative Health Sciences through accreditation, certification, and continuing education oversight.
We empower institutions to deliver transformative education and practitioners to uphold professional integrity, ensuring that all who serve the public do so with competence, compassion, and accountability.

Vision
ACIS is the global leader in advancing excellence, integrity, and innovation in Trichology and Integrative Sciences. We set the benchmark for professional standards, empower practitioners and institutions with board certification, and shape the future of holistic health worldwide.
ACIS envisions a world where education and healing are grounded in ethical science, cultural respect, and lifelong learning — where every student, client, and practitioner can have confidence in the institutions and professionals representing holistic and integrative care.
